Romero, Jolene Elizabeth

Jolene loved her animals. She had a bird, a cat and a dog named Missy. Jolene tried to help those less fortunate than herself. She liked to listen to music, go to Elitch’s and wrestle with her brother. She was planning on opening a day care center. Jolene was on her way to a younger friend’s house in January 1994 when she was hit on the back of her head with a blunt instrument. Her body was found in an alley behind Holy Trinity Church on Convent Street in Trinidad. Police have not arrested a suspect. Her family believes the police know the identity of the killer whom they believe is an habitual criminal.
