Joseph Nelson, 23, was shot and killed November 10, 2005 at 76th & Irving in Westminster. Police said the shooting was not gang related. Nineteen days later, another resident of the house, Alexander Fritts, was arrested at the same place for shooting his 16-year-old friend in the head. The outcome of that case is unknown. Nelson’s killer has never been prosecuted.
