A gifted athlete, intelligent and attractive enough to be a model, Milan Hudson appeared to have everything going for him. Milan was a star running back for Thomas Jefferson High School in the 1970s. He was a good enough swimmer that there was talk about the Olympics.
Shortly after graduating from high school, Milan modeled clothing for Denver stores.
But the high school athlete who wouldn’t touch drugs or alcohol while in training began drinking after school and couldn’t stop. He was in his early 20s when he and a girlfriend had two daughters.
For 11 years, Vicki, her mother and two brothers tried to get him to give up drinking and come live with them, but he couldn’t do it.
Milan was found lying in an alley on the 1400 block between York and Gaylord streets on April 24, 1999. He had been stabbed in the chest ten times.
Sid Hudson said whoever killed his brother may be still on the streets. “It’s a mystery,” he said.
