On January 20, 1996, officers responded to the 1000 block of West 39th Avenue on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found two victims lying in an alley at the scene. They were identified as 24 year old Genaro Alellano-Sanchez and 25 year old Felix Perez-Castanada.
