Danny Grimmett graduated from Hinckley High School in Aurora. He enjoyed fishing, biking and swimming. Danny was self-employed as an interior house painter. He lived with his mother, Myrna, who describes her son as “off-beat, with a good sense of humor. He took up for the underdog.” On the morning of May 31, 1999, Danny’s body was found near Mississippi and Leetsdale in Denver. He had been bludgeoned. Denver Police developed no suspects. Danny is survived by a brother, Fred Grimmett, and a sister, Leigh Firman, as well as a niece, Cori Leigh Firman, and a nephew, Ronald Michael Firman.
